31st Senate Senatorial District live results: Incumbent Mike Regan faces Shanna Danielson

State Sen. Mike Regan, R-Carroll Township, is facing off against Democratic challenger Shanna Danielson in the race for the 31st Senatorial District in today’s election. Regan, 59, is a retired U.S. marshal and former state representative who was first elected to the seat in 2016 . He said he’s running again to build off his legislative successes and continue to provide those who live in the district with a strong voice. Meanwhile, Danielson, 34, of Carroll Township, is a music teacher. She’s stated that her experience as an educator, mother and advocate has help her focus on fighting for an agenda for working families. In 2018, Danielson unsuccessfully challenged state Rep. Dawn Keefer, R-Franklin Township , in the 92nd State House District. The polls close at 8 p.m. on Election Day in Pennsylvania. Check back here later for results . But it’s unclear when most of the unofficial results will be tallied. Cumberland County is one of several counties in the state that will not start counting mail-in ballots until Wednesday . In response to written questions for the Pennsylvania Voters Guide, Regan and Danielson both said recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic is the most pressing issue facing the state. Regan said he’s opposed to any new tax increases and is hopeful that revenue will continue to come in above projections.
