ALC and Patriots organization hold informative meeting

Tim Loggains, ALC and Patriots of Act 746 representative, spoke to Arkansas residents who recently gathered in Highland to discuss second amendment rights. A large group gathered together at the Artisan Steak House and Grill Jan. 26 for a meeting of the Arkansas Liberty Coalition (ALC) and Patriots of Act 746. The ALC is a nonprofit organization who support and retain second amendment rights. The first to speak during the meeting was Representative Dan Sullivan. Sullivan is currently serving his third term in the Arkansas House representing District 53. Sullivan informed those in attendance about the bills and potential problems Arkansans may face in regards to religious liberty. “Currently, I am supporting a resolution supporting free speech on college campuses. Currently, ASU has ‘free speech zones’ where you can only speak freely in those designated areas,” Sullivan said. He also spoke about legislation which would cause any public official convicted of a felony to lose their benefits. Other points of interest Sullivan addressed included opening freedoms to advanced practice nurses and telemedicine. “This group, [Patriots of Act] 746, was one of the first groups to work to recapture second amendment rights; your God-given rights you need to recapture. Please make your voices heard. Step up and reclaim your rights,” Sullivan said, encouraging those in attendance to contact their respective representatives.
