Biden gun bill lets police take away guns from those deemed a ‘danger’

John Carney signed into law the Beau Biden Gun Violence Prevention Act, a bill mirroring the efforts the former attorney general first introduced in 2013. The legislation, which received the support of both gun control advocates and proponents of the Second Amendment, aims to limit guns getting into the hands of people who may be a danger to themselves or others by giving mental health professionals and health care providers the ability to notify law enforcement when they believe there is a threat.
