Danny Tarkanian’s long-shot congressional bid was a surprise in name only. The perennial Republican candidate has made a habit of crash-landing into difficult campaigns, including his unlikely 2018 push for a U.S. House seat in Southern Nevada. Tarkanian’s last-minute jump into that race was made solely at the request of former President Donald Trump. It resulted in his sixth-straight loss as a congressional candidate.
