Chickasaw County becomes 11th county to approve second amendment sanctuary resolution

{/p} CHICKASAW COUNTY, Iowa — Another Iowa county has approved a second amendment sanctuary resolution. This time supervisors in Chickasaw County decided to approve a measure, making it the 11th county to take action against any laws hindering gun rights at the local level. According to the Iowa Firearms Coalition, this type of legislation doesn’t supersede federal law but does prevent local governments from creating measures that go against the Second Amendment. “Our state is quickly becoming a Second Amendment Sanctuary State,” said Michael Ware, IFC Chair. “As some in Washington continue to ramp up their anti-Constitutional rhetoric, we are only expecting more Iowa counties to follow in Chickasaw’s footsteps.” IFC said supervisors in Chickasaw County approved the measure 4-1.
