Fe U explores the Second Amendment

Though we are all familiar with the Second Amendment’s right to bear arms, the origins, development and meaning of this famous amendment beg a more thorough explanation. Lawyer Sam Filippo will guide an Fe University course on this important and controversial American right, from the gunfight at the OK Corral to the a deep exploration of the methodologies of the United States Supreme Court. Ready to wade into constitutional waters? The Second Amendment: Cornerstone or Orphan of the Bill of Rights? will be offered in three sessions via Zoom, May 25, June 1 and June 8, 4-5:30 p.m. This course is $15. Filippo holds a bachelor’s degree in English from St. Norbert College and a law degree from the Northern Illinois University College of Law.
