Firearm Sales Still High Amid Fears of Biden Gun Control Agenda

Demand for firearms and ammunition remains high across country. Gun sales set records in 2020. So far it’s the same in 2021, as store owners in several states were slammed leading up to Joe Biden’s inauguration. Second Amendment supporters are stocking up amid fears of new, harsh gun-control laws the Biden-Harris administration would like to implement. “They were not shy about announcing how anti-second amendment they were because it was right there on the front page of Joe Biden’s website. So, he definitely wasn’t hiding the types of regulations and the types of laws that he wants to have,” Edwin Walker, attorney with U.S. LawShield , told KTRH. For example, Walker noted Biden’s desire to ban assault rifles (for civilians) and high-capacity magazines. No concrete action yet on the issue, but many expect the White House to try to repeal a 2005 Bush-era law called the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act . That law protects gun manufacturers and dealers from being held liable when crimes are committed with their products. “People should be wary and people should pay attention,” Walker said. “Whenever there is a bill that is going to come up for a hearing because they’re going to be filed, if you support the Second Amendment, let your voice be heard. Contact your Congressmen and contact your Senators.”
