From The Editor: The Next Generation Includes Pro-Freedom Influencers

If you find this issue of America’s 1st Freedom a tad peculiar, that’s because it’s caught in a wrinkle in time. It might seem quaint, even unfathomable, to smart-phone-addicted youth raised on a total carbohydrate diet of instant social-media gratification, but magazines still must be edited, designed, printed and mailed. So this issue was actually completed and sent to the printer before the Nov. 3 election, but here you are getting this political magazine weeks after all ballots were cast and with high hopes we all now know the results—and that the vote was lopsided in favor of good, old-fashioned American freedom. The upside to producing an issue of a magazine destined to be caught between the times, is it gives us the chance to focus on something the mainstream media won’t even celebrate during the Olympics: the young, growing and very American group of exceptional gun owners who both compete in the shooting sports and advocate for our right to keep and bear arms. The young competitors interviewed here are just a few examples of the many upstanding young men and women who enjoy the shooting sports and cherish their freedom.
