Indiana gun permit law changes in July

Courtesy-Sheriff Myers FB page COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office reminds us that starting July 1, the lifetime license to carry a handgun in Indiana becomes fee exempt. The five-year license is also fee exempt, but the five-year and lifetime license to carry a handgun may be applied for and held concurrently. “We support this change in our gun permit law,” said Sheriff Matt Myers. “We do not believe that law-abiding Indiana citizens should have to pay a fee to practice their second amendment right.”
