Judge hears lawsuit over Missouri gun law

court3.png A Cole County circuit judge heard arguments over a lawsuit over the state’s Second Amendment Preservation Act. St. Louis and St. Louis County filed a lawsuit to block the law. Governor Mike Parson signed the bill into law this spring. It would impose a $50,000 fine on any police agency in Missouri that enforces federal gun laws. Judge Dan Green told the attorneys that he expects to have a decision on a preliminary injunction in a week. The law does not go into effect until August 28th.
