Generic guns PARIS, Maine — The Paris Board of Selectmen unanimously adopted a resolution Tuesday evening that declares the town a Second Amendment sanctuary town. Board Chairman Rusty Brackett told WMTW News 8 that the resolution is intended to be a statement that "all we need is the Second Amendment." Brackett said the resolution came about at the request of a resident who was concerned about a series of gun bills being considered by the Maine Legislature. Brackett said the board also voted to form a committee to draft an ordinance that would mirror the resolution. He said the proposed ordinance would likely go before voters in November.
