March for Our Lives changes site of today’s Lakeland visit

Florida Ave. STORY UPDATE The March for Our Lives voter registration event in Lakeland on Friday has changed sites. According to a notice from the organization led by students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, the event will not be held at Kryger Park, but rather at Mega Mercado, located at the Wabash Shopping Center, 2009 George Jenkins Blvd. There has been no change in the time, which is still set to begin at 2:30 p.m. Ross Spano, a Republican candidate for the District 15 U.S. House seat, will still be holding an opposing “Rally for our Rights” event today in support of Second Amendment rights. That event is scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Vets Army & Navy Surplus, 819 N.
