March For Our Lives secures venue for Saturday's town hall

SANDY, Utah (News4Utah) – March For Our Lives announced Thursday it secured a venue for its student town hall. The event was supposed to be held the Megaplex Theater in South Jordan, but it was abruptly canceled Wednesday . Megaplex changed its mind about hosting because the event appeared to be “escalating into a potentially contentious” situation. March For Our Lives: #RoadToChange student town hall on Saturday, July 14 will now be held at the Mountain America Expo Center in Sandy. @March4LivesSLC “We are very excited and overwhelmingly grateful to our community for coming together to assist and support us throughout this process," said March for Our Lives SLC in a statement Thursday. The event is open to the public, but there is a ticketing process . Tickets obtained for the Megaplex location through Eventbrite will still be valid. Utah Gun Exchange , a company that has been following the national March For Our Lives tour to promote Second Amendment Rights, met with the student-led group Wednesday. Yesterday, the students of #RoadToChangeFL met with some of the organizers of the Utah Gun Exchange. The meeting was a true example of productive conversation.
