McCorkle ‘too extreme’ for the Fourth District

There are plenty of congressional districts in this country where a liberal Democrat in favor of the jobs-killing Green New Deal and restrictions on our Second Amendment rights could win. But the Fourth District of Colorado isn’t such a district. Ike McCorkle is challenging Congressman Ken Buck, who has held this seat since 2015. Congressman Buck has been a champion of economic opportunity and policies that roll back government’s heavy regulations. He has become one of the leading conservatives in the U.S. House of Representatives, and has used his position on the House Judiciary Committee to protect the 2nd Amendment and advance greater accountability and oversight of big tech companies. Buck has fought hard to protect our oil & gas jobs from liberal environmentalists. In both his positions and the legislation, he has championed, he well represents our district. McCorkle, on the other hand, is far out of touch with this district, and would likely be better off running for a seat in Congress representing New York City or liberal parts of California. On issues ranging from guns to the economy to harmful regulations, McCorkle consistently takes the positions of such members in the House of Representatives as Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Take the issue of energy, for example. The energy sector is an increasingly important one in our district and across the state, but McCorkle seems not to notice.
