Missourians support common-sense gun laws

Missourians support common-sense gun laws I am writing this letter in hope that my representatives will listen to the overwhelming majority of the constituency and vote down House Bill 1936. Quinnipiac polls suggest more than 90 percent of Americans are in favor of common-sense gun laws (background checks, closing deadly loopholes, and creating reasonable limits on where and how loaded guns are carried) and this bill is an outrage to most of us. HB 1936 is dangerous in that: Colleges and universities would be forced to allow concealed, loaded guns on campus. It would allow people to carry concealed, loaded handguns into private elementary, middle, high schools, and child care facilities. It would allow concealed handguns on private property even if the owner posts a sign prohibiting firearms. My family is like many Missouri families in that we own firearms and use them for hunting.
