Obama’s former Education Secretary Arne Duncan pushed a radical idea on Twitter; parents should pull their children out of school until elected officials pass stricter gun control laws. Duncan tweeted his support for the idea, which was first proposed by Obama’s former assistant secretary of education, Peter Cunningham. "Maybe it’s time for America’s 50 million school parents to simply pull their kids out of school until we have better gun laws” This all came hours after another school shooting that left 10 people dead at Santa Fe High School in Texas. Duncan responded to the tweet: "This is brilliant, and tragically necessary," Duncan tweeted. "What if no children went to school until gun laws changed to keep them safe? My family is all in if we can do this at scale. Parents, will you please join us?"
