Oklahoma Gov. Stitt blasts Biden’s gun control plans as ‘total overreach’ by federal government

Gun control is ‘total overreach’ by federal government: Gov. Stitt Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt blasted President Biden’s executive actions and legislative proposals on gun control Thursday, calling them a "total overreach" by the federal government. "As long as I’m governor, we will fight back against that federal overreach," he added. "It’s disappointing what is happening in D.C., the partisanship that the president is displaying." The Republican governor stressed that "we’re going to defend our right to bear arms in the state of Oklahoma." Stitt made the comments on " Cavuto: Coast to Coast " shortly after the president announced the set of executive actions and legislative proposals on gun control. President Biden said that gun violence is "a public health crisis," and that the administration’s actions do not contravene Second Amendment rights.
