Readers React: Democrats: Pledge to protect Second Amendment
As a permitted gun owner, I think this is a pledge that every Democrat in elected office should add their name to with sincerity. It would take the ammunition out of Republican salvos as they claim Democrats “are coming for your guns, Democrats want to repeal the Second Amendment.” Then all legislators should be able to discuss sensible gun control measures without that big distraction.
