Republican congresswoman Lauren Boebert claims gun control is ‘anti-woman’ on Twitter

Outspoken American lawmaker Lauren Boebert has described gun controls as “anti- woman ”. The Republican congresswoman, who has made a series of inflammatory comments about guns during her political career, tweeted the remarks hours before a fatal shooting in California, which left four dead, including a child. Making a dig at Democratic-run cities, she wrote on Twitter: “The Left’s gun control agenda will affect America’s women more than anyone else. “I’m a five-foot-tall, 100-pound woman. The only way I’m safe to walk around any dangerous liberal city is with an equalizer. Gun control is anti-woman.” Boebert, who was elected last year, has previously prompted backlash by insisting she would carry a gun during her term in Washington DC.
