Tom Cotton of Arkansas visited Falkor Defense in Kalispell on Thursday. The senators spoke with the owners about national security and the Second Amendment. Daines says the company provides 35 high paying jobs in the Flathead Valley. “They’re making great firearms. Steve Bullock called for a ban on semi-automatic guns that would destroy this company here, 35 Montana families up here in the Flathead that would most likely lose their job,” Daines said. We reached out to Bullock’s office for comment. “It’s unfortunate to see Sen. Daines play on people’s economic insecurities during a global health and economic crisis. As governor, Bullock has expanded Montanans’ Second Amendment rights, and as attorney general, he led the state’s effort to have the Second Amendment recognized as an individual right. He will build on his record of protecting the right to bear arms and stand up to any Washington politician who tries to infringe on it,” a campaign spokesperson said.
