Students marching to Smith & Wesson Springfield HQ for better gun control
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Students marching from Worcester to Smith & Wesson in Springfield, are calling for changes in the way the gunmaker does business. Several dozen teens stepped off from City Hall in Worcester Thursday morning to protest gun violence. They’re marching 50 miles over the next four days to Smith & Wesson’s headquarters. Parkland, Florida school shooting survivor David Hogg is marching with them. "The fact that we’re having to stand up in a state that has some of the strictest gun laws in the country but manufactures guns that are technically illegal here is ridiculous," Hogg told 22News. The marchers are expected to arrive at the company’s headquarters Sunday for a rally at noon.
