The Dem’s Anti-Gun Agenda Grows: Another ‘Assault Weapons’ Ban Introduced

The Democrats pushed out their first anti-gun bill last week, but now they are ramping up the anti-gun agenda with yet another attempt to ban so-called “assault weapons.” Democrats in the House of Representatives already stared to push out their extreme, anti-Second Amendment agenda for the 2019 session with plans to stiffen background checks. The bill was introduced in the first week of the new session. As the Washington Post Reported: The proposal, headlined by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Gun Violence Prevention Task Force Chairman Rep. Mike Thompson (D-Calif.), is a bipartisan measure, with Rep. Peter T. King (N.Y.) serving as the lead Republican co-sponsor. But that was just step number one. Now step number two has been introduced with another absurd gun ban. As the Free Beacon reports : Feinstein’s bill, the Assault Weapons Ban of 2019, would ban the sale, manufacture, transfer, and importation of certain semiautomatic firearms. The text of the bill has not yet been released, but Feinstein’s office said it would ban any firearm capable of accepting a detachable magazine and either a “pistol grip, a forward grip, a barrel shroud, a threaded barrel or a folding or telescoping stock.” Firearms fitting the description would become illegal to sell if the bill was passed but those already legally owned would remain legal but become subject to additional regulations.
